Entrée & inner courtyard

An ideal entrance to set the mood for your event: by entering the authentic medieval courtyard you are transported into another world and immersed in history. The idyllic court is dominated by St George’s Well, the atmosphere invites to stop and linger - an ideal spot for a standing reception. Take the lift to reach your floor or opt for the Gothic spiral staircase, taking you to the second floor on 48 steps.

The Fiegersaal in the central section of Schloss Friedberg demands attention for its particular configuration and the open fireplace. In addition to direct access from the courtyard the hall is also linked to the Freskensaal and the Gotischer Knappensaal. The Fiegersaal boasts a portrait gallery of noblemen, reflecting Friedberg’s historic significance in this part of Austria.

The hall is named after frescoes showing courtly motifs in connection with the siege of Schloss Friedberg in 1410. These stunning, original frescoes were discovered during restoration works in 1969 and are witness to the traditions of chivalry. The hall with its vivid colours is an ideal venue for smaller events.

The mood of the hall provokes clear thinking and creativity, it is empowering and authoritative. Whatever the occasion to bring together your guests, we shall support your special event with professional knowhow, fine food and discreet service.
