Entrée & inner courtyard
An ideal entrance to set the mood for your event: by entering the authentic medieval courtyard you are transported into another world and immersed in history. The idyllic court is dominated by St George’s Well, the atmosphere invites to stop and linger - an ideal spot for a standing reception. Take the lift to reach your floor or opt for the Gothic spiral staircase, taking you to the second floor on 48 steps.
Fiegersaal
The Fiegersaal in the central section of Schloss Friedberg demands attention for its particular configuration and the open fireplace. In addition to direct access from the courtyard the hall is also linked to the Freskensaal and the Gotischer Knappensaal. The Fiegersaal boasts a portrait gallery of noblemen, reflecting Friedberg’s historic significance in this part of Austria.
Freskensaal
The hall is named after frescoes showing courtly motifs in connection with the siege of Schloss Friedberg in 1410. These stunning, original frescoes were discovered during restoration works in 1969 and are witness to the traditions of chivalry. The hall with its vivid colours is an ideal venue for smaller events.
Gotischer Knappensaal
The pure lines of Gothic architecture are underlined with historic paintings - an ideal environment for a prestigious business lunch or dinner. The mood of the hall provokes clear thinking and creativity, it is empowering and authoritative. Whatever the occasion to bring together your guests, we shall support your special event with professional knowhow, fine food and discreet service.
Grafensaal & media lounge – 186sqm
The panoramic views of the Karwendel mountain range and the Inn Valley lying at the feet of Schloss Friedberg are mind blowing and inspirational, new ideas start here. The Grafensaal offers generous proportions, a stylish atmosphere and absolute privacy. The interconnected deluxe media lounge is available with internet access and latest technology. Use this restful environment to celebrate a successful working session or a lucrative business deal. With sparkling Champagne, refreshments and fine wines we serve ‘flying’ cocktail variations. Please note that the media lounge is integral part of renting the Grafensaal.
St Bartholomew’s Chapel
The chapel of Schloss Friedberg was first mentioned in 1469 and is dedicated to St Bartholomew – this is a true gem with frescoes dating back to the 15th Century, angel depictions from the 16th Century and a small altar from the 17th Century. Today this enchanting chapel can be booked for weddings at the castle – the capacity is 40 guests, access to the chapel only via the courtyard of Schloss Friedberg.
Vault & Gallery
The vault & gallery provide an absolutely unique setting for any events promoting wine, art and culture, a venue which permeates joy and enthusiasm. The 13th Century basement has been kept in its original form, clay and stone walls and floors are an inimitable feature, making this into an extraordinary stage for highly original events. The newly installed, sophisticated lighting system allows the mysticism of the past to live on. Sensational!
Rose garden, pool & patio
The delightful rose garden lies just below Schloss Friedberg and in earlier times was referred to as the vineyard. Set in a rural idyll with hedges and an abundance of fragrant blooms, the rose garden is an enchanting setting for receptions and photo opportunities, whilst patio and pool area are the hub of celebrations, parties and festive activities.
